Starship Entertainment debut their newest supergroup in Y-Teen's (Y틴) Do Better.

Made up of Monsta X (몬스타엑스) and Cosmic Girls (우주소녀), it's hard to keep up with all the members.

Hand in hand with Y-Teen's debut is the release of KT's (a South Korean based telecommunications company) Y Teen Data Plan for teenagers. Launching a phone plan and a new pop group may seem out of the ordinary, but it's just another day in the marketing world.

But why, oh why are they called Y-Teen’? I don’t know. But what I do know, is that their song Do Better is great.

The song starts off with a bad-ass feeling, and I just thought ‘Wow, this is a dark concept’. However, I was totally wrong. Even with the bad-ass mood, Starship managed to squeeze a bit of bright, refreshing sides into the song, balancing between light and dark. But what I loved most about the song, was that they made sure to have an equal distribution of rapping and singing in the song – something that we barely see in idol songs. With the cool raps and the energising vocals, there wasn’t a moment in the song where I felt bored.

However, the music video didn’t quite reach my expectations. No story line (but then again, why would you need a storyline to promote a phone fare service?) and poor lighting. Lights and background changing to a new colour every ten seconds, seriously? All that did was make my eyes hurt. Their choreography was alright, and the chemistry between the Starship singers was quite nice as well.
