LISTEN: BAAUER & JUST BLAZE'S 'HIGHER' GETS AN UNAPOLOGETICALLY LOUD REMIX BY Y2K

Y2K, you've done it again.

Many people would say they're already sick of the trap movement, claiming it has been diluted by the mainstream and that it all "sounds the same".

But innovative artists like Y2K show that trap is definitely not slowing down. His latest remix of Baauer's Higher is archetypal of this style: mashing the high energy elements in traditional trap soundwaves, with aspects of techno and his own unique electronic sounds he's curated.

This makes for a daresay 'noisy' sound that is far from radio friendly, but at it's core is very playful.

The best example of this is at 1:05 when he brings on what sounds like a high-pitched alien to change up the tempo.

Seeing as how this song looks and feels like an official track, we're keen for future collabs with big name trap artists like Baauer himself. My message to Y2K? Don't let the haters stop you from doing your thang. Trap ain't gonna disappear overnight.
