WATCH: ALEX AIONO PULLS US 'CLOSER' IN THE CHAINSMOKERS AND HALSEY COVER

Alex Aiono can do no wrong in his cover of The Chainsmokers' Closer, featuring Halsey. 

This is the fourth time I'm writing about Alex so I thought I might do some more research on him:

• His actual name is Martin Alexander Aiono.
• When he was younger, he became a sponsored Wakeboarder.
• He released his first EP when he was 14.
• He appeared in the TV series called 'Royal Crush'.
• His Instagram name is 'alexaiono'.

• He had a girlfriend 2 years ago by the name of Meg Deangelis. Meg has her own YouTube channel with 5.4 million subscribers (featuring skit videos about teenage life for girls). 
• His ethnic background is Polynesian & White.

OK, NOW BACK TO THE SONG.

This time around, it sounds like Alex has a sound engineer to help him out as his voice sounds studio quality, like something you'd hear on the radio. 

Cleverly mixing in lyrics from 'Youth' by Australian artist Troye Sivan, the minimalist beat on this cover really allows Alex's voice to shine through. 

At around 2:30, his high notes come powering through, again impressing us with the power and dexterity of his vocals. 

We can expect big things ahead from Alex. Considering that he's been rubbing shoulders with certain celebrities on his Insta but also because he's released original music before, it wont be long until we hear Alex on our radio.
