LISTEN: NOTORIOUS B.I.G.'S 'MO MONEY MO PROBLEMS' GETS EDM REMIX FROM LOOTZ
We’ve heard of many classic songs being remixed with an EDM spin to it. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don’t. Lootz gives it a try and it’s a bit of a hit and miss.
This remix takes the hook from Notorious B.I.G.’s Mo Money Mo Problems and plays it with a repetitive and boring EDM hook. The only good part of the remix is when we hear the classic lyrics. But when it gets to Lootz own spin, that’s where the track goes downhill and turns lackluster. It sounds like another song to be overplayed on the radio to the point of annoyance.
Why change a classic when what’s being altered doesn’t make it better? Nonetheless, it’s a good effort from Lootz and while not bad, it just doesn’t necessarily offer anything new or exciting. It sounds just like anything you’d hear on the radio. And that’s not a bad thing, it’s just not a great thing either.
